“Yoga Hosers” is a 2016 comedy film written and directed by Kevin Smith. The story revolves around two teenage girls named Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) who are best friends and live in suburban Canada. The two work in a convenience store where they are mainly occupied with their smartphones and are not particularly enthusiastic about their jobs.
One day, the two Colleens are haunted by a series of strange events. They discover that their town is being threatened by an army of evil, miniature Nazis who are from Canada’s past. These Nazi creatures, called “Bratzis”, are sausage-like creatures created from a mixture of Nazi science and Canadian maple syrup. The Bratzis are armed with sausages and are trying to take over the town.
The girls find that the only way to defeat the Bratzis is to practice yoga. Under the guidance of their yoga instructor, Yogi Bayer (Justin Long), the Colleens learn the art of yoga and use their newfound skills to fight the Bratzis and save their town.
“Yoga Hosers” is known for its absurd and lunatic ideas that make the film a whimsical comedy. Some of the most absurd scenes in the film involve a group of Nazi bratwurst creatures who are the main antagonists. Their appearance and fighting style are grotesque and ridiculous in equal measure. Another absurd aspect of the film is the combination of yoga with saving the world from Nazi sausages. This combination makes for a humorous and unusual plot.
In addition, the film contains numerous pop culture references and inside jokes, which are mainly intended for fans of Kevin Smith and his earlier works. Some may find these absurd elements entertaining, while others may consider them too over-the-top or silly.
