Monster Roll

“Mon­ster Roll” is a short inde­pendent film from 2012 written and dir­ected by Dan Blank. The film plays with the genre of mon­ster films and presents an inter­esting mix of humour, action and absurd ideas.

The plot of Mon­ster Roll revolves around a group of sushi chefs who are sud­denly con­fronted with an inva­sion of mon­strous creatures. These creatures are unique in that they come from the deep sea and far sur­pass the usual mon­sters in size and menace. How­ever, the sushi chefs are not para­lysed by fear, but instead decide to use their culinary skills to fight the mon­sters.
